RAW AMBER PURCHASE GUIDE & FAQ

Before contacting us by email, please review these questions. The answers are intended to help serious professional buyers understand our material, ordering process, commercial handling, documentation, shipping and compliance rules.

Product & Material

1.What do you offer?

We offer selected natural raw amber pieces for professional buyers. Our focus is large natural amber material suitable for misbaha production, cutting, workshop use and commercial trade.

2.Is your amber Baltic amber?

Our material is Western Ukrainian natural succinite amber from a documented commercial source. Geologically, this amber belongs to the Central / Eastern European amber context and is closely related to the amber deposits known from the Baltic amber system. We use careful wording: we do not present the material as Kaliningrad amber, Polish amber or Baltic Sea coastal amber unless a specific lot is documented as such. We describe our material as Western Ukrainian Baltic-type succinite amber and may provide scientific references and lot documentation for serious buyers.

3.Is Ukrainian amber worse or better than Baltic amber?

No serious buyer should judge amber quality by country name alone. Ukrainian amber is not automatically worse than Baltic amber, and Baltic amber is not automatically better for every purpose. For professional misbaha production, the decisive factors are the actual material characteristics: size, natural structure, color, transparency, cracks, rind, inclusions and cutting suitability. Our material comes from Western Ukraine and should not be confused with low-grade, undocumented or illegally extracted material from other regions. It is selected as large natural amber suitable for professional misbaha production.

4.Is your material raw amber or finished amber?

We offer raw / rough amber material. We do not sell finished misbaha beads, finished jewelry or retail souvenir items through this channel.

5.Is the amber natural?

Our offer is focused on natural amber material only. Serious buyers can review lot photos, videos, weights, dimensions and visible characteristics before a commercial offer is confirmed.

6.Is the amber pressed, reconstructed or imitation resin?

We do not position our material as pressed amber, reconstructed amber or imitation resin. Buyers may request additional inspection or testing arrangements for specific lots before purchase.

7.Why is your amber suitable for misbaha production?

The material is selected with professional misbaha production in mind. Large natural pieces can be relevant for cutting beads, imams, separator parts and custom misbaha components.

8.Are all pieces above 300g?

All selected pieces are above 300g, but exact weight is always stated per individual stone or prepared lot. Buyers receive weight information before confirmation.

9.Are all pieces identical in color, clarity and structure?

No. Amber is a natural material. Color, transparency, internal structure, rind, cracks, inclusions and cutting potential vary from piece to piece.

10.Can you guarantee cutting yield after processing?

No. Cutting yield depends on the buyer’s cutting method, workshop experience, selected bead size, internal structure and processing decisions. We provide visible lot information before purchase, but we do not guarantee final yield after cutting, polishing or processing.

Ordering & Lot Review

11.Can I choose individual stones?

Depending on availability, buyers may review selected individual stones or prepared lots. Some lots may be offered as full lots only.

12.Do you provide photos and videos before purchase?

Yes. Serious buyers can receive photos, videos and basic lot information before a commercial decision is made.

13.Do you provide weight and dimensions?

Yes. Weight is provided for each offered stone or lot. Dimensions can be provided where available or measured before final confirmation.

14.Can I request a sample lot?

Yes, sample lots may be arranged for qualified buyers. Sample lots are still handled commercially and require confirmed payment terms.

15.Can I order very small quantities?

We are not a public retail shop. Small commercial sample lots may be possible, but single-piece low-value retail inquiries are usually not our focus.

16.What is your minimum order quantity?

The minimum order quantity depends on the current stock, buyer profile, destination and commercial terms. For first-time buyers, a sample lot may be the most practical starting point.

17.Can you reserve a lot for me?

A lot can only be reserved after clear commercial agreement and, where required, deposit or payment confirmation. We do not hold material indefinitely without commitment.

18.Do you offer long-term supply?

Yes. Long-term cooperation can be discussed with serious professional buyers. Monthly availability depends on lot selection, quality requirements and current stock.

Payment & Commercial Handling

19.Who is the official seller?

Official sale, invoicing and commercial handling are managed through the company stated in the offer and invoice. Raw-Amber.com / Studio Amber s.r.o. acts as a professional presentation and commercial contact channel.

20.Do you issue official invoices?

Yes. Commercial transactions are handled with official documentation and invoice process. No anonymous or undocumented transactions are accepted.

21.Do you publish prices online?

No. We do not publish fixed public prices for raw amber lots. Pricing depends on weight, size, quality, selection, availability, destination and commercial terms.

22.How is pricing calculated?

Pricing is based on the actual material offered: size, weight, natural structure, color, transparency, visible condition, lot composition and commercial quantity.

23.How does payment work?

Payment terms are confirmed in the proforma invoice or commercial offer. Material is not shipped before the agreed payment condition is fulfilled.

24.Do you ship before payment?

No. We do not ship material before confirmed payment or an agreed secured payment arrangement. This protects both parties and keeps the transaction professional.

25.Do you offer credit, consignment or “sell first, pay later” arrangements?

No. We do not offer consignment, credit sales or informal “pay later” arrangements for new buyers.

26.Do you accept escrow or secured payment?

For larger orders, secured payment structures can be discussed. The exact method must be agreed before reservation or shipment.

27.What is the Reserve Allocation Programme?

It is an invitation-only programme for established and verified business clients. A participating buyer maintains an agreed Reserve Balance for priority consideration when exceptional raw amber becomes available. Participation is governed by a separate written Reserve Allocation Agreement and does not guarantee supply, price, discount, quantity, quality, delivery date or exclusivity.

28.Is the Reserve Balance refundable?

Yes. The unused and unallocated Reserve Balance is refundable after effective termination of the programme, subject to settlement of accepted allocations, undisputed amounts due and reasonable account-holder, sanctions, fraud and compliance checks. It is not forfeited merely because the buyer rejects an offer or does not respond in time.

29.Which currencies are accepted for the Reserve Balance?

Reserve Balances are accepted only in EUR or USD by bank transfer from a verified buyer account. The individual agreement states the required amount and currency. Refunds are made in the original payment currency.

30.Where is the Reserve Balance held?

A client balance up to and including EUR 10,000 equivalent may be administered through an official general company bank account. If the total unallocated balance exceeds that threshold, the entire balance is administered through a dedicated company bank account. The dedicated account remains a company account and is not escrow, trust, statutory client money or insolvency protection.

31.Does the Reserve Balance earn interest?

No. It earns no interest, yield, dividend or investment return and gives the buyer no ownership or security interest in Studio Amber s.r.o. or in any amber not specifically allocated through an accepted offer.

32.How long does Reserve Allocation participation last?

The initial term is 12 months and renews automatically for successive 12-month periods. Either party may terminate participation on 30 calendar days’ written notice. Immediate suspension or termination may apply for material breach, sanctions, fraud, unauthorised third-party payment or failure to complete required compliance checks.

33.How quickly must I answer an allocation offer?

Unless the individual offer states another deadline, the standard response period is 24 hours from dispatch to the authorised email address. Acceptance must be sent by email and becomes effective only after Studio Amber s.r.o. confirms the allocation in writing.

34.What happens if I decline or do not answer an offer?

The offered material may immediately be released to another buyer. The unallocated Reserve Balance remains unchanged. Repeated non-response or a sustained mismatch between requested material and purchasing activity may lead to a flexible reassessment of priority, temporary suspension or termination, but not automatic forfeiture of the balance.

35.What happens if I accept an allocation but do not complete payment?

Studio Amber s.r.o. may cancel the allocation, release the material and suspend or terminate programme participation. Only directly documented costs or a lot-specific reservation fee expressly accepted in the offer may be charged. The entire unallocated Reserve Balance is not automatically forfeited.

36.How is a Reserve Balance refunded?

After effective termination, the unused and unallocated balance is refunded within 15 Banking Days after the required checks and settlement of accepted allocations or undisputed amounts due. The refund is sent in the original currency to the verified originating bank account. We bear our own sending-bank fee; the buyer bears intermediary-bank, recipient-bank and conversion charges.

37.Do I receive Reserve Balance statements?

Yes. We provide written receipt confirmation and record each allocation, refund and remaining balance. A balance statement is provided after material movements and on reasonable request.

Documentation & Trust

38.Is the material legally sourced?

Yes. The material offered through our channel is handled as documented commercial stock. Relevant commercial documentation can be provided to qualified buyers where appropriate.

39.Can you provide proof before purchase?

Qualified buyers can receive reasonable documentation, lot information and transaction documents. Sensitive upstream supplier details are not disclosed publicly.

40.Do you disclose your upstream supplier?

No. Upstream supplier identities and source relationships are not disclosed publicly. Relevant commercial documentation can be provided to qualified buyers where commercially appropriate.

41.Can I inspect the material before buying?

Yes. Inspection can be discussed. Depending on the case, this may include photos, videos, live video review or personal inspection by prior arrangement.

42.Can we arrange a video call?

Yes. A video call can be arranged for serious buyers to review available material and clarify commercial terms.

43.Can I send my own representative to inspect the material?

Yes. This may be possible by prior agreement. The inspection must be scheduled, professional and linked to a serious commercial inquiry.

Shipping, Customs & Compliance

44.Do you ship to GCC countries?

Yes, shipment to GCC countries can be discussed, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman, subject to courier, customs and compliance feasibility.

45.From where is the material shipped?

All shipments are handled from the European Union only. Depending on the transaction, material is shipped either from the Czech Republic or from Germany. The exact shipping point is confirmed in the commercial offer.

46.Who is responsible for customs duties and import clearance?

Unless otherwise agreed, the buyer is responsible for local import duties, taxes, customs clearance and local import requirements in the destination country.

47.Which documents are provided with shipment?

Typical documents may include commercial invoice, packing list, lot information and shipping documents. Additional documents depend on shipment method, destination and agreed terms.

48.Can the buyer arrange their own courier or freight forwarder?

Yes, this can be discussed. The arrangement must be agreed before shipment and must comply with export, customs and payment requirements.

49.Are there sanctions or delivery restrictions?

Yes. We do not sell or ship to sanctioned parties, restricted destinations or buyers who cannot pass basic commercial and compliance review.

50.Do you sell to private individuals?

Our focus is B2B and professional buyers. Private inquiries may be reviewed, but we do not operate as a public consumer retail shop.

51.Can I return the material after purchase?

Raw amber is natural material and commercial lots are normally not sold on a consumer-style return basis. Return conditions, if any, must be agreed before purchase. Processed, cut or altered material cannot be returned.

52.What happens if a shipment is damaged or lost? Shipment Risk?

Shipments are insured as standard up to a goods value of EUR 2,500. For small parcel shipments, this insurance coverage is already included in the shipping charges.

For shipments with a goods value exceeding EUR 2,500, transportation is arranged with appropriate cargo insurance. The cost of such insurance is included in the quotation or agreed shipping charges unless otherwise specified.

53.Why should buyers trust you?

We work with clear commercial handling, official invoicing, documented stock review, photos, videos, buyer verification and agreed payment terms. We do not conduct anonymous, undocumented or informal transactions.
